One of my worst years ever was one of my “most successful years in real estate” (in terms of *number of sales*) 🫠

But my lifestyle? Not so much!

I was exhausted.

I missed out on so many events and time with my family.

I worked with some really bad clients (and agents)

I tried to reel it back in by going on vacation, and ended up bombarded with phone calls.

I cried A LOT.

That, to me, is not “success” and it took me a while to realize that.

But when I honed my marketing efforts to speak more specifically to the person I wanted to work with & started putting ME, the human out there more (not just the real estate stuff), everything changed.

These are the kind of marketing results most agents don’t even think about ⬆️

I mean think about it… 💭

You get your real estate license, you follow some (maybe not so great) marketing strategies & your goal is ultimately to:

– get more leads

– get more clients

– sell more houses

BUT – it should go so much deeper than that if you want to build a truly successful business that lasts (and that you love) 🥰

Because…

Leads don’t = closed deals

Clients don’t = loving your job

Selling more houses doesn’t = a lifestyle you love

So, how do you get to the end result you love? (closed deals, loving your job, and a lifestyle you’re obsessed with)

First, you need to figure out WHO you’re trying to attract and get your marketing and messaging to line up with THOSE PEOPLE.

How can you create social media content that pulls in the right fit followers (who turn into future clients and referrals) 🔑

Surprisingly, speaking to your ideal clients is easier than you might think! But it first starts with *connection*. How can you find common ground?

HERE ARE 3 PROMPTS MODERN AGENTS USE TO CREATE CONTENT THAT SPEAKS TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE ✍️

(write down your answers – it seriously helps SO MUCH!)

1 – What is their current real estate struggle? What is keeping them up at night? What do they dream about in a new home?

*The mom who is tired of hanging her laundry on chairs in the kitchen because there is zero mudroom or storage and is ready for more space

*The gal who dreams of hosting book club in her very own home, pouring glasses of wine and putting together cheese boards to prepare for her friends to come hangout

*The guy who just wants a yard for his dog!

2 – What are their hobbies and interests? Where do they spend their time? What do they do on weekends?

*Can be found at every local event – loves their community (or maybe wants to live somewhere that has more of a community)!

*The coffee shop couple – always getting local coffees for their morning walks and would love to be in walking distance to their downtown

*Always at the farmer’s market and playing pickle ball in her free time

*Known to be seen driving a mini van full of littles heading to the nearest park or kid free activity

PRO TIP: Write out a day in the life of your ideal client – make it up (or pick one of your fav clients ever and describe what their normal day might look like). Have fun with it! What are they eating, drinking, watching, doing?

3 – What makes them feel “seen” or heard? (spoiler alert: it’s not a post that says 3 steps to buying a house in Spring)

*What would make them think: “OMG, THIS IS ME!” or “YES, I AGREE!” or “I NEED THIS!”

Obviously you sell real estate BUT you can infuse your content with personality that will connect with the people who you want to follow you (who you ultimately would love to work with)!

Once you get the hang of creating content that speaks to the RIGHT PEOPLE (not other agents, not every single human on the internet – that actually resonates with no one) – it gets easier AND way more fun!

Please do not look at these and think “well pickleball doesn’t make sense for me”, and ignore it! The point is that you can FILL IN the template to fit who YOUR ideal client is.

And it’s so easy because I’m giving you a framework! (will be even easier after you do the journal prompts above)!
